I recommend reaching out as soon as you know you'd like a session, especially if you have a particular date or season in mind. Fall and spring dates tend to fill the quickest.

For maternity sessions, I recommend booking during your second trimester and scheduling your session for around 28–34 weeks.

For newborn sessions, it's best to reach out during pregnancy so we can reserve space around your due date.

North Carolina weather likes to keep us on our toes! I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to outdoor sessions. If the weather isn't going to cooperate, we'll work together to choose a new date. Cloudy skies don't necessarily mean we need to reschedule—sometimes they create the dreamiest light.

Once you're booked, I'll send you a styling guide to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully and complement the location and overall feel of your session.

I typically recommend coordinating rather than perfectly matching and choosing warm, earthy or neutral tones, soft textures and pieces that allow for movement. Most importantly, I want everyone to feel comfortable and like themselves.

They don't have to!

Your children are never expected to sit perfectly still and smile at the camera for an entire session. We'll play, explore, cuddle, move around and let them warm up at their own pace.

Some of my favorite images happen when little ones are simply being themselves. Come ready to love on your babies and let me take care of the rest.

Think of your session as less of a photoshoot and more of time set aside to simply be together. We’ll laugh, play, cuddle, explore and let the moments unfold naturally. I’ll offer gentle direction along the way, but there’s no pressure for everything to be perfect.
